Fans of massive multiplayer online games are probably already familiar with other entries in The Lord of the Rings franchise. The newest entry, Mines of Moria, is sure to make those fans very happy to join in the quest to recapture and restore the Mines for the dwarven kingdom.

The Lord of the Rings Online has chosen to keep its content linear in order to be true to its fantasy book roots. This keeps progression of gameplay in context, while still offering diversions.

The storyline revolves around a mission to reclaim the Mines of Moria. Of course, villains of Middle Earth are also attracted to the mines, so be prepared for battles as you venture on your quests. Two new areas are available in addition to the Mines, Eregion and Lothlorien. The massive underground atmosphere in the Mines is by far the most impressive. Twisting narrow tunnels and huge wooden scaffolding leave you in suspense as to what you will encounter along the way.
With the question of danger lurking, it is best to grab a friend or two to go along on your journey. It really enhances play as the small groups can work together to push forward and help each other toward a common goal.

The new Legendary Item system allows players to customize weapons and equipment with use. This allows gamers to reshape your tools and weapons to suit individual personalities and needs.
Two new character classes have been made available in Mines of Moria: Rune-Keepers who are essential wizards, and Wardens who string together attacks to make stronger gambits (finishing attacks). These two classes seem geared towards existing players with very little new player content.
Overall, the stunning graphics and high quality, well thought out storyline makes The Lord of the Rings: Mines of Moria a welcome entry in the LOTR franchise and will surely satisfy fans of the genre.
